As the Back-End Developer, .NET and PHP, you will be responsible for writing custom code to implement new functionality, as well as support and augment existing libraries and frameworks at Teach For America that spans all web properties. As a member of a team consisting of Front-End Developers, a Full-Stack Developer, QA, Business Analysts, and a Scrum master, you will build the required back-end technology to create a seamless experience for customers as well as internal stakeholders. The work you do will be central to how Perfume Worldwide achieves quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing Microsoft based systems.
- Background in PHP, Magento, Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, Excel, Word, Outlook and HTML.
- Web Development using Visual Studio 2010+, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, KnockoutJS, JSON, XML, PHP, C#, ASP.NET Form, ASP.NET MVC.
- MS-Access data capture systems for Stewardship and other databases which need to be moved into a central SQL repository.
- Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
- Assist network administrator with application installation and testing.
- Provide SQL administration in live and test environments.
- Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
- Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
- Verify database and data integrity.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the IT network team to discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress on a weekly basis to the CIO.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computers Science or related field.
- A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in Office 365 Products (Including SharePoint).
- Knowledge with Linux/Unix/Windows 7+ in a domain environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
